DENEGATION

My father told me
"Son, if you can't handle "NO" or "REJECTION"
then you will never make it in life"
Well that was great advice
until you experience it.......right?
Wrong!
Where in the rules books
whether it's spiritual or mortally written in flaws
that men, 
men are suppose to be bullet proof to rejection?
oh yeah
I forgot, 
it's man thing
it's suppose to be tough love
in our masculine selection
even the man of steel felt his Lane rejection
but I'm no superman
just a Godly man
and if feeling lower than shit on shoes
is how "NO & Rejection" feels
I'll pass on the two
trade in my feelings to not feel
and avoid all situations 
that invites these bullets
to pierce my heart
There are lines that should not be crossed
and rejection is one of them
yeah,
I'm building up muscle to face all of them
but my mental repels 
the oncoming of any of them
Take away my car
my clothes 
and my poems
well maybe not my poetry
but you get what I mean 
when I ask not to have any of these things
I mean, 
save me the trials of these things harming me
Confidence builds as you get older
but not enough to over come rejections on your shoulder
A man is still man
whether he strong hearted, thugged out
or sensitive like Ralph
But get this out of your minds
that "No" and "Rejection"
is not what we are about
and yes, "We hate it with a passion"
so remove it from your vocabulary
and don't let it run a course from your mouth
